Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PrayerWaqt, operated by Nettsted Limited, handles information when you use the PrayerWaqt Android application and related services.
1. Information we process
- Location and prayer settings: selected city, coordinates when location features are enabled, calculation preferences, alarm settings and related app preferences. Location is used to calculate prayer times and power location-based features such as nearby mosques.
- PrayerWaqt account information: when you choose Google sign-in, we may receive your Google account subject identifier, email address, display name and profile picture. We use this to create and secure your PrayerWaqt account.
- PWAI content: questions, conversation history and related metadata that you choose to submit to PWAI.
- Support content: support ticket subjects, messages, ticket status and related timestamps that you choose to submit through in-app support.
- Purchase and entitlement information: Google Play product identifiers, subscription or credit entitlement state, order identifiers and hashed purchase-token records needed to verify purchases, prevent replay or fraud, and process refunds or subscription lifecycle events.
- Technical, analytics and security information: app version, installation identifiers, IP address, device and app information, app interactions, screen or feature usage events, diagnostic information, crash logs and limited request/security logs. This information may be used for service operation, analytics, application reliability, troubleshooting, rate limiting, abuse prevention and security.
- Firebase identifiers and diagnostics: PrayerWaqt uses Google Firebase services. Firebase may process pseudonymous app-instance or installation identifiers, application interactions, device and operating-system information, app version, diagnostic and crash information, notification delivery or interaction information, and approximate geographic information derived from network information where applicable.
- PrayerWaqt abuse-prevention identifiers: to prevent repeated PWAI free-trial grants through multiple accounts, PrayerWaqt derives a pseudonymous app-scoped device token on the device. The raw Android device identifier is not transmitted to PrayerWaqt; only the derived token is sent and stored as an irreversible server-side hash for trial-abuse prevention.
- Push notification information: when push notifications are available, Firebase Cloud Messaging may generate and process a device-specific registration token and related technical information required to route notifications to the application. PrayerWaqt may also receive limited information about notification delivery or interaction where supported by Firebase.
- Advertising and device information: PrayerWaqt uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process information such as IP address, advertising identifiers (including the Android Advertising ID where available), app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or app information for purposes such as ad delivery, ad measurement, analytics, fraud prevention and service security. This information is processed by Google in accordance with Google's own privacy practices.
2. How we use information
We use information only to provide, operate, improve and secure PrayerWaqt features, including prayer-time calculation, alarms and reminders, PWAI conversations, account synchronization, purchase verification, fraud prevention, service reliability and user-requested support.
We may also use pseudonymous usage and diagnostic information to understand how PrayerWaqt features are used, measure feature performance, diagnose crashes and technical problems, improve application stability and reliability, and understand general application usage.
Firebase Cloud Messaging may be used to deliver service notifications, feature announcements, application updates, informational messages and other PrayerWaqt communications. Where supported, we may also process limited notification interaction information to understand whether a notification was delivered or interacted with.
Where advertising is shown, third-party advertising services may also process limited device, app-interaction and advertising-identifier information for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention and security.
3. Third-party services
PrayerWaqt uses certain third-party services to provide app functionality:
- Google Sign-In: used for optional PrayerWaqt account sign-in and account authentication.
- Google Play Billing: used to process subscriptions, purchases, billing status and related entitlement verification.
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): used to display advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process information such as IP address, advertising identifiers including the Android Advertising ID where available, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or app information for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention and security.
- Google Firebase Analytics: used to understand application usage, feature engagement and general application performance. Firebase Analytics may process pseudonymous application or installation identifiers, app interactions, device and app information, and other technical analytics data.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics: used to detect, diagnose and investigate application crashes, non-fatal errors and technical failures. Crashlytics may process crash stack traces, diagnostic information, device and operating-system information, app version information and pseudonymous installation identifiers.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): used to deliver push notifications to PrayerWaqt. FCM may process registration tokens, app and device information, notification routing information and limited notification delivery or interaction data where applicable.
- OpenAI: when you use PWAI, the content needed to generate a response is transmitted to OpenAI through PrayerWaqt's server-side integration.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Google services are subject to Google's Privacy Policy and applicable Google service terms. OpenAI services are subject to OpenAI's applicable privacy terms.
4. Storage and retention
Account profile data, PWAI conversation data and support ticket content are retained while your PrayerWaqt account exists or until you delete the relevant content. When you delete your PrayerWaqt account, profile data, authentication sessions, PWAI conversations, PWAI messages, support tickets and support messages, account entitlements and account links are permanently removed from PrayerWaqt systems, subject to the limited exceptions described below.
Limited payment and purchase-ledger records may be retained after account deletion when necessary for accounting, refund processing, anti-fraud, purchase-token replay prevention, security or legal obligations. Limited irreversible account-lifecycle hashes, pseudonymous welcome-device/install claim hashes and minimal billing/quota counters may also be retained to prevent repeated welcome-question grants across accounts or reinstalls, preserve subscription-period quota continuity, reconcile refunds or chargebacks, prevent purchase-token replay or fraud, and preserve a stable Google Play billing link if the same Google user later creates a new PrayerWaqt account.
These retained records are separated from the deleted PrayerWaqt profile and are not used to recreate deleted PWAI conversations or profile data.
Analytics, diagnostic, crash-reporting, advertising and notification data processed by third-party services such as Google Firebase and Google Mobile Ads may be retained by those providers according to their own retention periods and privacy practices. Deleting a PrayerWaqt account does not necessarily delete aggregated, de-identified or independently retained technical information that has already been processed by those third-party services.
5. Data and account deletion
You can request deletion of selected eligible personal data without deleting your PrayerWaqt account at prayerwaqt.com/account-deletion . Requests are manually reviewed and we may contact you to verify account ownership. After any necessary identity verification, eligible deletion requests are completed within 10 business days.
You can permanently delete your PrayerWaqt account from Settings → Privacy & Account → Delete account. You can also initiate full account deletion from the same website page.
Deleting selected data or your PrayerWaqt account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Subscription cancellation and billing are managed separately through Google Play.
Limited payment, billing, security, anti-fraud, purchase-token replay prevention or legally required records may be retained where necessary. Some technical, analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or notification information processed independently by third-party service providers may also remain subject to those providers' own retention practices.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account and service data, including authenticated API access, hashed session and purchase identifiers, transport encryption and abuse controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices
You can disable location access in Android settings, use a manually selected city, sign out of your PrayerWaqt account, request deletion of eligible PWAI, support-ticket or other personal data without deleting your account, or permanently delete your PrayerWaqt account.
You can allow, block or modify PrayerWaqt push notifications through Android's notification settings. Disabling push notifications does not disable PrayerWaqt's local prayer-time calculation features. Local prayer alarms and reminders may use separate Android notification or alarm settings depending on your device.
Advertising identifiers and ad-related privacy controls are managed through Android and Google settings where available. Resetting, deleting or limiting an advertising identifier may affect how advertising services recognize your device, but does not remove your PrayerWaqt account or other account data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when PrayerWaqt features, legal requirements or service providers change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
